The Garmin G5 Approach GPS unit is the larger brother of the Garmin G3 Approach and features a 3.0" Colour TFT screen with an impressive resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and is preloaded with over 3,500 European courses, but the great feature is that there are no subscriptions or annual fees to pay.
New courses are regularly added and available to download from the Garmin website free of charge. The unit is sturdy, well made and is fully waterproof and will have no problem dealing with the unpredicatble British weather.
The inbuilt maps give accurate distance information about the position of greens, hazards and fairways from any point on the course with the ability to position the flag on the green.
